There are many therapists in and around Fort Worth, Texas who are capable, compassionate and highly trained.  If you have mental health coverage with your health insurance policy - and you chose to use it, you may consult your provider for therapists in your network.

Below you will find just some of the professionals (in the same geographic area) to whom I often refer clients for certain concerns. Some accept insurance and some are self-pay only practices.

Joy Allen, L.C.S.W., M.Div.
Joy is a very intuitive clinician with extensive training in marital therapy.  She has worked closely with the country's leading researcher in couples counseling. With a Master's Degree in Divinity, she is also highly skilled in dealing with issues from a faith perspective. Joy's gentle and compassionate manner alone is highly therapeutic. She has a self-pay practice.

Dorothy Barra, L.P.C.
When dealing with disordered eating it is critically important that you find a therapist with EXTENSIVE experience and continuing education! A caring and compassionate therapist, Dorothy has many years experience and training in dealing with clients who are struggling with Eating Disorders. She accepts and files on many insurance plans.

Kellie McLarty
As her Supervisor many years ago, I trust any client's care to Kellie. She has over 10 years experience as a highly rated Counselor at Country Day School. She works magic with adolescents. In her graduate work she also had unique trainer in substance abuse issues, She is also gifted with extensive knowledge of whole health and body wellness!

Leigh Ann Smith, L.P.C.
Two of Leigh Ann's unique areas of expertise include working with adolescents, academic counseling, drug and alcohol issues, and Gay and Lesbian issues. Her positive energy and creativity make her very well suited to deal with challenging teen and young adult clients!  She has a self-pay practice.

Dorothy's expertise includes Parenting Issues, Mood Disorders and Hypnotherapy.  She founded The Parenting Center of Fort Worth. Her wisdom extends to  many issues.  She is a provider for multiple insurance plans, including Medicare.

Suzie Jary, L.C.S.W., T.E.P.
